I just got 2 DELL U2412m and I know essentially nothing about calibration. I have read several articles but they are all way over my head.

Is there any site where I can learn how to do basic calibration of my monitors?

Which adjustments should I make on my monitors and which should I make from my graphics card Catalyst driver? I use Win 8.

unless you have a calibration device (which i'm guessing you don't) then the majority of the changes should be made at the hardware level (ie in the monitors OSD). if you start changing graphics card settings you will likely mess things up overall and it wont help.

easiest way is to either do some by-eye calibration using the tests here:

or alternatively use the recommended OSD settings from someone else's calibration. you could try the settings TFTCentral used in their review. you may also want to try their calibrated ICC profile which was obtained through the use of a calibration device. there's guidance on how to use that on the site as well:
