I have a ArSock 4core DualVSTA mobo and a E4400 C2D. I eventually will stick the E4400 in something like a P35 mobo with a 8800GTS. At present I have 1Gb Patriot PC3200 DDR RAM. I want some DDR2, PC2-5300 seems to be enough as at 1:1 this will give a CPU speed of 3.33Ghz and I want it for both mobos. The Ballistix PC5300 CL3 seems really good but the specs say 2.2v and the 'ol ArSock can only deliver 2.0v but the Crucial compatibility says it's OK; presumabley it then will run at slacker timings at lower voltage?

If not the Ballistix how about the Corsair CL4 PC5400 or the Patriot PC5300 CL4?

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

Looks like the Ballistix then :D - Thanks

Topitoff, let me know how you get on. I have the same motherboard

My recent OC Forums post

and I can't get the memory to run at 333mhz unless I force the setting in the BIOS and run the CPU at stock speed.

If I set to AUTO it runs at 266, if I set the FSB to 300, the memory runs at 300, but the machine will not POST with FSB@333.

Cheers,
