I've been looking for a reggae song just cannot find it, please help. I recorded it as a youngster from the radio onto cassette but the tape was lost long ago.
Back in the early 90s in Bristol on GWR fm there used to be a show called Reggae Rockers hosted by Mikey Dread on Friday evening.
The song consisted of a dancehall reggae singer singing about how he likes slim girls and then the ragga singer would come in singing about how he likes the fat girls. The music was very unusual and although it was unmistakably reggae the percussion was almost oriental and there was the regular sound of a spring going 'doiingg' at the end of the melody.
I've searched the Web, typed the few lyrics I remember into countless music finding sites, spoken to people who know lots of reggae songs and still can't find it!
Finding this song would make me so happy, I often find myself singing what little I remember and really wish I could hear that song again.
