Hi,

i am in desprate need of advice as this is the second build in 6 months to start dying on me.

My First build was a XFX 780i, corsair 4GB DD2 800mb, Intel Q8200, GTX 260 (x2 sli) and TX850 power supply.

On this rig my psu died and OCuk RMA it for me. worried that it was not just my psu i decided to buy a new motherboard, memory and case, this was this month.

Currently i have MSI P7N2 (790i ultra), G. Skill DDR3 4GB, intel Q8200 (same), GTX 260 (x2 sli same) and new RMA TX850.

with my new build, everything was fine for about a week then in opperation flashpoint 2 i would get random pauses in game for about 2 seconds and then the game would move really quickly to catch up, kind of like in high speed as if everything was waiting in teh pauses, my movement, shooting everything. this would be after 1-2 hours playing

Then in OF2 and Crysis i started to notice the textures would start flickering and sometimes apperaing higher off the ground than they should. this would happen after 5 minutes playing.

then my games and systme would crash, everything fine on desktop, youtube etc but in game i would get lock ups and crashes and now when i try to use my sytem in SLI all i get is colourful screens in game, not even the real graphics !

now i have tried this in windows 7 (RC), Windows XP. Same problem in both. i have ran each card by itself and both run completly fine with no problems at all, i have tried 182, 186, 190 and latest drivers. all same problems. i have tried multiple SLI bridge, 1 brdige alone, 2 bridges, swapped bridges. nothing works

i have had nothing but problems with this system building and im completly tired of rebuying parts and stuff breaking, RMA bla bla i hate it, i should have to RMA something brand new.

please help me with this problem. nothing in my system is overclocked, all stock. i use it purely for gaming, i am a gamer i play for a team i really need my system for practice and LAN. i have a lan at the end of the month.

please any help would be great. thanks

make sure you don't have nTune installed.
It caused insane issues with my sli setup. I formatted windows and didn't use nTune (cant properly uninstall it without format) and no longer had any artifacts or crashes.

Also, try using 1 gpu at a time (physically take the 2nd one and use it as the primary with the 1st one out of the case entirely).

hey man,

i havent been using nTune at all, only once when i downclocked the cards as i thought it may have been a heat issue but all temps are fine

apart from taht its been fresh windows installs both win7 and xp, rreisntalled them liek 4 tiems even reinstalled xp today to try with amny differnet drivers on different installs

i have tried each card on their own, taking the other one out of the case etc, both work perfect by themself exact same numbers in benches and temps.

seems the motherboard is the issue then.
could be something simple like a bios setting (update the bios?)
do you still have the old motherboard to check?
Im quite sure the psu is independant from the rest of the system, Ie. theres no way the motherboard can cause the psu to break as the psu has protection measures? So in the initial setup the psu might have been the only issue.
