Please help me, Where is Windows 2000 Server CD Key???

Hi guys I need to ask someone today for thier windows 2000 server cd key... where would it be, is it the back of a book, cd? :confused:

Oh and how many digits would it be?

Also what is the best way of knowing what version the Windows 2000 Server is i.e. is it business edition, etc?

On a full retail product it is on the back of the CD jewel case on an orange sticker.

On an OEM I suspect it is on the COA that should be attached to the chassis of the machine.

You could find one of those programs that lets you view the product key and license number.

They are usually packaged as key changers.

The actual key will be derived by the program since it isn't obviously recorded anywhere in the UI.
