Please Help Me.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the replies, sadly i wouldn't be able to build a PC as i wouldn't know where to begin frankly.

I have got this in my basket, just wondering your thoughts on it?

I'm only playing at 1080p.

1x AMD Ryzen 5 5600 Six Core 4.4GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail
1x Kingston Fury Beast 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C18 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit
1x SAPPHIRE PULSE AMD Radeon™ RX 7700 XT Gaming Graphics Card with 12GB GDDR6, AMD RDNA™ 3 architecture
If you are doing a full build you can get all the parts sorted out and then call OCUK who you can arrange to build it for you (for a fee).

Which pre built pc is this as I don't see the 7700xr in the option I posted earlier and the memory is pre order ?

I can configure the kalis, just fine btw, have you tried clearing cache, or using a different browser? i'm on firefox, or are you tring to do it on your pphone? try phoning them to do it!

You end up changing so much, just give them the complete build and they do it with all the parts you want...total customer and the mark up is the same. Same warranty at end also

They actually massively increased the build costs not too long back, probably due to people on the forum advising custom build requests over their prebuilds. I believe it used to be a flat fee but turned into a relatively high percentage of the overall build cost, still worth getting in touch with them for comparisons sake though.

Unfortunate but it is what it is.

be interesting to knowhow much though. i mean the kestrel above is £1093 for a am4 build with a a520m mobo(couldn't even stretch to a b550 board) and a bronze psu....just added up the parts and it's £856 and that's with a better board as they don't have any a520 boards anymore...seeing as they're making money on all the parts too as that's the retail price, the markup's already pretty good, as they're getting rid of things like the a520 board, which fetch nothing
at £1100 I'd expect more, but it's tough if you've never built and are too nervous to try.
I'd go 2nd hand for a decent basic rig and put a new gpu in. the other day I had a 5600x/b550/1tb ssd/32gb ram in a 5000D case, 6 corsair fans and a 360 kraken lcd aio offered to me for £450...stick a 7800xt in there and be done...the're a lot of people that bought pc's during the pandemic now getting rid of them as gaming has been replaced with 'going out again' again. think the pc retailers have got used to the bumper profits and are now increasing margins to try and maintain it with falling sales, though can't be that bad...accordinbg to the website, they've sold 19 7800x3d's today...that's pretty good going

Last I saw someone mention it, it was £150 and 4% of the total build cost.

I'd need to crawl through a couple of months of posts to find it, but someone took a system spec I gave them based on my recommendation and it was way more expensive than that from their response.

To memory it was a 1.5k build with a build cost of over £300, 4% would be £60.

that would be in line with the prebuilt above really...£856 +£150 build is just over a grand 4% is 34..total £1040..£53 diff is windows but no way you buy windows at retail anyway. had a quick look elsewhere..found a corsair 3000d/b550m-a/5700x3d/be quiet pure rock cooler/32gb corsair rgb 3200/1tb ssd/750w bronze psu though but asus 4070super for £1215..you can add your own windows to that..better value than the above but still too much
buying new now s/b am5 now i think. if you look at the 7600 cpu being similar to the 5800x3d thereabouts in performance(on average), it's also cheaper than a 5700x3d by £10 (and a lot cheaper than the 5800x3d). the gigabyte b650 gaming x as is £149 and you can get 32gb 6000c36 ram for less than £100 now whereas ddr4 has gone from £50 to £60 upwards, so the jump to new platform isn't that much more now (less if you actually bought a 5800x3d rig)
Can be a bit depressing looking at prices now..they might be slowly increasing though as we aren't that far away from black fri, so they may increase now just to drop it down again..just so you can have that '''Bargain'''
