Please help, Microsoft outlook issues

I've been having some problems with signatures on Outlook. I've made new ones for the company I work for but whenever anyone adds the sig to the message, this error appears:

When I click ok, the sig is ok apart from an odd square at the top as shown here:

Could anyone tell me what I've done wrong and how I could make these two problems go away? Thanks!

Do you use Word as the email editor?
Try going into Word, Tools, Options, General, Email Options, General, untick save smart tags in email, OK.

I had been using word to edit it, but unticking save smart tags hasn't made any difference i'm afraid :/

Ok, problem sorted! You were certainly on the right tracks InsomniaCalls, thanks! I eventually deleted the smart tags entirely and both problems disappeared
