Please help report the crook

I remember seeing something similar to this a year or so ago,

Samsung D600 for sale on the bay, except it would be details for where you could buy one !

It was going for £200+ at the time

Surely Ebay can't allow this ?

You are bidding on 1 pdf ebook full of all the information you will need.

It's the same scam as the guy who was selling an Xbox360 just after launch, but in the smallprint it stated that you're bidding on an Xbox360 box.

"The Pictures are for illustration purpose only as this auction is for an eBook, not for any of the items shown."

If he's so honest as to put that kind of disclaimer on it, why does he have a Buy it now price of £250! Its not like he's trying to catch anyone out now is it?!

The item description fields, at the top, say that its a New PS3. and that is not what he is selling. So I think we can safely say that its an attempt to mislead, and I'd expect ebay to pull the auction once they've checked.

So £250 for a book that informs you about police/bailiff auctions?? **** me thats an expensive book to be buying.

Couldn't be bothered reading the whole thing...

£250 for a PS3, BARGAIN!!

Off to ask the missus

Sean :)

(Some of the above may be taken with a pinch of salt)

if you look he sold the same phone twice for the same price in the same day

im debating buying everything to get him done for fees

Ebay will likely remove the listing but it won't stop them listing the same again in future. Same when reporting obvious counterfeit stuff, they remove it swiftly enough but they never seem to take action against the seller.

You have respect for a criminal?

Criminal? trickster maybe but i dont see whats illegal about what hes doing. The listing is quite clear about what is for sale.... if people bother to actually read what they are buying before they click.

To be honest what hes doing is no different to a dozen different high street chains who drag you in with ambiguous adverts in the window "a week in spain for £99" etc etc
