It is finalising my settings. I had problems with the burning but I think this one worked so I have the driver on a disc ready

ok windows is done (it looks odd. Big icons). Shall I insert that disc and just install like a normal program?

So you are at the desktop?

It asked you for your location? user name etc?

yes. I have set up passwords, names, and so on and now it is just on the desktop.

right click the mouse on the desktop, box appears,

screen resolution, set the res to what ever the monitor is

Put the disk that came with the motherboard in

when it loads up, select along the top "DRIVER" then click "chipset" install this

When this is done, the PC may want to reset?

its finished. It says reset required to complete. do i do that or not at this stage?

when its boot back up, put the disk in with that new Nvidia driver,

double click the icon, it will bring up an install box,

Automatic or recommended install/settings please.

it will do its thing, the screen may go blank a few times.

restart the pc after its done.

windows may complain about the nvidia driver being a Beta, just click ok/ignore

the options are "Express " or "custom" It is custom that says it has the option for a clean install,. Should I still stick with "express(recommended)"

Put the MSI motherboard disk back in.

driver, and get the Audio driver installed.

But obviously you need speakers or headphones in the green socket at the back to hear the windows start up jingle if it restarts. or you can click on windows media player and it will have 3-4 songs already there to play.
