My brother has asked me to build him a new PC for £500 and i'm a bit behind on todays components.

He plays Darkfall Online and CS:S, so it will be for games and ebay. He would like to keep XP, but i will go Vista if he needs to.

Thanks

does he need a monitor/keybpoard etc...if he does then maybe this is ok which is just over budget...if not then the second one is just under budget

Thanks guys. Can XP handle 4g fine?

And are the AMD's better than the Intels now? The last time i was looking at a build, everyone was going for the intels.

With the core 2 and i7 has still got a very nice lineup. But for this budget, the new phenom 2 dual and triple cores beat the low-end intel core 2s and pentium duals.

I meant thanks to everyone:D

I got the same spec that siumatfung said but changed to the tri-core. What do you mean pics of the build? Pics of it in the stages of being built? I don't know if i could handle the pressure:(

Yeh pics of it being built and pics of it finally built.

Don't worry about the pressure, just take your time and you'll be ok.

I'll try and get some pics up. I hope nothings changed much in the last few years. The last build i did was a socket 754 with a 6800gt.

I'm gonna be sick giving it to my bro though, i might just shove my dell bits in his new case, he'd never know:D
