Ok, so i was just playing a game of Dawn of war when the screen goes grey, nothing else to show. So i restarted the computer and it had re-set to its default clock speed of 1.6ghz, thats fine, i was half way through a 6 hour download, so i left it to download. Once the download finished i re-started the computer, and found no output from the graphics card, and the graphics cards fan was going a little mad.

When taking off the graphics card it also gave me a pretty nasty shock, with the power off :s

Spec :
8800gts 320mb (sound dead?)
XP
E2140 @3.2ghz
320gb hard drive
Not sure what else is important, but i can rule out the monitor being at fault (unless 2 went at once ?).

Any suggestions would be usefull. Unfortunately i cant test out the graphics card as none of our other computers have a pci-e slot

Ok, so developement is that now my computer sometimes works :s... i really dont know what on earth its doing. Switches on sometimes, not other times. Wooshes on power up, then nothing, then motherboard re-sets, then again, then it starts up.

Bad overclock maybe ? But it seems to do it on everything, and the overclocked settings have been working under stress for 8hours+ ???

Think its possibly solved, the motherboard had re-set all bios settings, and id forgotten to change the pci-e speed back to 100mhz..atleast i think that was the problem.
