People just remember Dell are making it easier and easier to upgrade.
I have a Dimension 9100 and have upgraded my PSU with a standard ATX one.
You just need to make sure first, but I know the newer Dells all use standard ATX PSUs....

Well that's a refreshing change.

Im seriously wondering how FEAR was playable at that resolution when I couldn't even play CSS @ 640x480 at minimum details :p.

I'd also bet my CPU and RAM is 5x that of your laptop :p ;).

I played Anarchy Online for so long that 10fps is acceptable for me on my laptop.

And Bah to 5Gb RAM and 10Ghz Procs ;P

well guys i think you have made my mind up for me(you must be realated to my wife) this is what i gonna go with as it is in stock and just within my budget.
Memory
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC)
Graphics card
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3850 Pro 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Last couple of things if any problems do you know if i can send back to overclockers and get refund and was looking else where on reviews for this card and someone said there is a cable or adaptor needed from the psu to card, do i need to order this as well.
Thanks for everything.

hmm, overclockers, in their own right, can be a bit iffy when refunding pc stuff like graphics cards, because too many people want good pc's, but dont have enough knoledge.... so the rule is, if you're not sure, dont take it out the sealed packaging... however if there happens to be something actually wrong with the card (it doesnt work and is broken) then overclockers will be very helpful in dealing with this..

Just looking at reviews of the Sapphire 3850 and it does indeed give you the 4pin to 6pin PCI-E power cable so you shouldn't worry.

As for the return the rule is that you can return it within 7 days if the seal is intact.
