I am having big problems with my pc.
I bought the overclockers bundle with a 930 i7, venom cooler, 6Gb ram and the gigabyte board. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/shopproduct.php?prodid=BU-029-OB
After a little bit of a struggle i (the cooler is a bitch to fit) finally replaced my old board keeping my GFX card, Installed a new hdd and installed windows 7 no prob but i have now encountered two big probs firstly the system setup which comes oc'ed apparently didnt boot well so i had to go to defaults. The next prob is a big one I tired to install a second hdd from an older comp but it refused to start with it turning its self off, then after i removed it there was a red light on the mobo and a load noise coming from what I think is the mobo. I took out the cmos battery but it made no difference.
 
the overlock settings should have stayed as they were, unless you updated the bios, doing that will void any warranty OcUK put on the bundle,
as for the HDD,
did you assign the boot order in bios prior to booting windows? hit delete on start up and it should be somewhere in there ( not sure exactly where )

the red light is most prolly a cpu load light, im pretty sure it's a standard feature across mobo's
load noise? can you be more specific? on boot up any computer will make a fair bit of noise depending on your cooling set-up
 
definitely not a load noise very load near screech and i did not update the bios the system its self told me to use default settings not as last good wouldn't load
 
well as it turns out the problem was PSU based but not serious (one of the 6 pins for my 5870 was not quite in). But now im suffering from a diferent prob i have not connection to display I tried my card on a friends pc and it worked fine but i dont get a display on mine when booting and so i have no idea if its a deeper set problem because i cant see what my computer is doing :(
