Right, lets not get in to how stupid I am, but I have just deleted the partition on my HDD that has all of my media on it whilst I was installing a new SSD.

Is there a way I can get it back? (please say there is!!!)

On Windows 7 ultimate. It was on 2 samsung F4s in raid0 if that is any use.

You may be able to recover the files if you havent written anything to the drives since you formatted them. Youd probably need to rebuild the array to do this :)

Well I haven't written anything else on there yet, so I am just trying a partition recovery tool.

It was ridiculous. I had just installed my new SSD, reinstalled all drivers and pretty much got everything back to normal, rebuilding the raid set-up etc. Then I go and do that....though it was instantaneous, and there was not even a confirmation notice upon deleting it, so the data can't properly be deleted ......can it?

Well I used EasUS partition recovery Wizard, and after a few hours of leaving it to do its stuff, it has located all of the files, which can be recovered(thank God.....over 1.2tb!), however with the free version you can only recover 1gb worth, which I have done to check that it has worked ok.

The full version is £50! .....is there a better(preferably free) way to do it? I liked this program as it was very easy to use.

Thanks

...Obviously if there is not then I will just have to suck it up, and put it down to experience, but thought I would check.
