Remove the cooler and check paste. Clean, reapply and re attach the cooler. Don't do it up too tight.Setup my rig but am getting 88 degrees running a 13900k while downlaoding games at steam.

Sorry i don't understand. Some boards have unrestricted power levels. May want to reign in the PL values.
They will be in the bios.Sorry i don't understand.
I will check the cpu usage under task manager and get back .
Right ok. I never seen this behaviour before, internet usage causing high cpu temps. They will be in the bios.
Have you looked in task manager see if there's a process causing high usage ?Right ok. I never seen this behaviour before, internet usage causing high cpu temps.
I will research into it.If anyone knows a solution please feel free.
Safe mode with networking would show normal temps if there’s it was virus/malware?Have you looked in task manager see if there's a process causing high usage ?
Then end it
Is your CPU going to 88c at 30% total usage? Or is Steam just the highest usage app when it does go to 88c?Right it seems Steam is causing this massive spike in cpu temps, up to 88.????
30% usage, when downloading for some reason.
