So I was playing around with disk management, no real aim, was just exploring then managed to do an incredibly stupid thing :(

I extended disk1 to include disk0 so in my computer it showed up as one hard drive, this made both hard drives show up as purple in disk management. I then decided I wanted them to show up seperately again so I right clicked on disk0 and pressed delete volume and both disk0 and disk1 now show up as unallocated.

I haven't formatted yet so I hope I can get my stuff back?

Help pleaseeeee

Sounds like you've just formatted both drives. Time to get a data recovery CD out.

Not formatted yet ;)

just restore from you last backup?

try pandora recovery free...

Annoyingly not everything was backed up :(

I would hope that someone can post a link to a free one for you but in the past I have used...

http://www.paragon-software.com/home/hdm-professional/

Paragon Hard Disk Manager

that has helped me in situations similar to yours by recovering partitions etc accidentally deleted.
They have a version that you can try out but I'm not sure how limited in functionality it is..? IIRC it will inform you if it can recover your partitions etc.

Good luck :)

BTW - Bet you don't play with that again :D

They might be something here to use under the "Partition" section....

Thanks, I'll try it
