Unfortunately, I won't have £1,000 to spare on graphics cards though so it won't happen.
 
- They claim fiscal Q1 2010. This is up to the end of April.
- Many, many sources claim a hard launch in mid march.
- Nvidia themselves have claimed that it is on track for mid march.
- No word on availability.
 
nVidia's last public statement was Q1 2010 tho whether thats their Q1 2010 or ours who knows :D

I've heard 2nd week in March and early May from different sources - not sure if thats due to confusion over when Q1 ends for nVidia, if some partners are getting stock at different dates, they know something we don't or what.
 
May/July is my guess before they start clearing down the pre-orders with a few left for stock, the reason I think this is because of poor yields and because they need to supply the Teslas's as well as Geforce because Nvidia will probably use tesla to subsidise Geforce, and because of the lack of time Nvidia have to stock pile chips.
 
480,470? So what happened to 380,360? Oh...I see....they will rename the 8800 into that market sector.
 
EDIT: Getting confusing theres already a product with the 4x0 designation. So is that now the 580 lol.

It doesn't make sense to me at all... no one I've talked to has mentioned 40nm chips under the 4x0 series and even a week ago nVidia were showing off a card as the GTX360.
