Please Re-Release Monkey Island 1 & 2

Tempted to dig out my Atari STe and fire it up, that or Frontier Elite II. How many disc's did it come on, I think the Atari version was on 4, MI II never made it to the ST, thankfully my mate had an Amiga 1200

good but not as good as day of the tentacle IMO

have the monkey island 1 and DOTT on floppys in the loft

lost the manual for DOTT meaning i cant do the copy protection thing l

and tried replaying monkey island on my 1.5 psp with scummvm but got stuck trying to watch the storekeeper unlock the safe because the animation is so small

It's great because it's so funny and witty, as well as being a great point and click game. In my opinion of course.
I agree. In fact, the only games I play now are from years ago, 80's and 90's. I've played a few modern games, and to be honest I can't see what all the hype is about. I just find the older games to have a lot more "go" in them, if you see what I mean. :)

never played them myself although the missus loves them, shame her copy of monkey island 2 doesnt work, plays normally but a bug appears where you stop walking and just float everywhere then get stuck :/ need to find a cheap ass copy!

I care not for triangle fill-rates, pixel shaders or advanced geometry processors. The first two Monkey Island games had some of the most incredibly visuals ever seen in a video game. Some of the background art was just phenomenal.

Reminds me of Legend of Kyrandia or Lure of the Temptress.

Swapping a floppy disk every time you changed screens.

Those were the days.
