But why not blow thru the vents on the outside?
Yeah just noticed that you have to remove the warranty sticker which Im not gonna do while its all fine and working. Just noticed recently(probably due to the weather) that my PS3 is a bit noisy (especially with FIFA).Search on Youtube for "gilsky ps3 reflow" there are 6 parts and in the beginning he shows what screws to undo in what order and what to watch out for.

If the PS3 produces more noise you could be heading for YLOD
I think thats the question and my assumption is that Sony wouldnt touch a PS3 that doesnt have a warranty sticker on it even if its within normal warranty, continous play or you are paying them to repair it.I assume breaking the warranty seal makes a console ineligible for continuous play?
It goes to show there is quite a lot of variation between them and something must cause them to be loud.
At end of day the way I see it (which may not be the way Sony see it) is that even if you paid to get it fixed and they refused youll still probably end up having to buy a replacement anyway, so you still remain a PS3 owner and Sony have quite a legitimate excuse/reason not to service.I was under the impression that the warranty void sticker only applied to the one year warranty you get when you buy the console. Surely as you are paying for a warranty with continuous play they are obliged to repair it no matter what?
