I am desperate for information which i hope you guys can help as my enquiries have drawn a blank. I have a Msi K9A2 Platinum board with the tall heatpipe ocz reaper ram, which is right up against the stock cooler so most coolers wont fit due to height of ram. moving the ram isnt an option as i intend to install more sticks. Does anyone know a cooler that definately clears oversize ram, my budget is upto £25.00 £30 at a push. Thanks very much. I have a feling the Scythe Kama Angle might fit if oriented the right way but need to know for sure before purchase.

Paul.

Someone told me that my reaper ram will never run hot enough under normal conditions. so i can safely remove the heatpipes of the ram and that would solve my height problem, but isnt the ram slots so close to the stock cooler an issue will all coolers still fit.

Are you able to buy bigger capacity sticks of RAM and then move the older sticks into different slots?

What sort of RAM is it? DD2/3?

i have heard that some ram is fine without the heat spreaders, but do your research first ;)
a very good but slim cooler is the Prolimatech Super Mega, most people mount a fan each side, so you get push/pull and better temps. ;)
here is a review http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/prolimatech_super_mega_cpu_cooler_review,1.html
