Hi all,

I am searching for a new monitor and I'm caught between going for 34" UW with a VA panel as OLED is out of budget or a standard QHD 27" but with a fast IPS panel for better image quality. Firstly, what are people's advice on this?

Secondly, any recommendations at a mid range price point?

Thanks.

Is this in with a shout too?

Yeah it's supposed to be very good. Though there doesn't seem to be stock anywhere and hasn't been for a while, plus it seems to be priced a bit high currently.

I bought this recently, moving up from a 60hz ASUS monitor. Some difference in visuals and the software is very easy to use. It has two HDMI ports which is handy for switching between my Series X and PC. Very happy with it.

If you dont mind lower refresh rates (75Hz) then the Iiyama-g2740qsu for £170 is a decent monitor.

I personally have gone for AW2723DF, would have gone for OLED but like you I use it for work so went with NANO IPS.
I hadn't really considered the AW one. How is it's contrast? Does it have regional dimming?

Thanks, I would like 144 minimum though.

Just found this too a saw a couple of reviews. 576 zone lighting. Does this come as close at possible to the best of both worlds of having IPS but will deeper contrast?
I had a look at that but it has some issues with it's firmware, if they sort it out it could be very good monitor.

Dell S3422DWG?

OLED is both expensive and I'd be concerned about using it for work every day due to burn in.
