Please recommend a 1440 monitor

The AW2723DF is hard to beat if you can stomach that issue. You have to spend pretty much double the price it's at now on offer to address the issue for a similarly specced screen.

Yeah. Do any IPS panels do good blacks? Or is it OLED only?

It's luck of the draw mostly, there can be loads of variation even on the same model. Now and again you'll get a really good panel with minimal glow but it's not common and will still be nowhere near OLED levels.

I had a AW2723DF, I had to return it but only because IPS seems to give me chronic migraines. However that aside, the monitor was gorgeous. I was gutted I had to return it because it was so impressive. I would absolutely recommend it.

I've heard of IPS doing this to some people. I guess I'm lucky, I have IPS now (only 60hz) and not had that issue.

Thanks for the recommendation though.

In a similar situation, wondering why no ones mentioned the Samsung Odyssey G7 32" - which is what I was considering at £580ish.

Gutted to have missed out on that AW deal, would have probably gone for that purely for the saving.

I've considered it. But two things are putting me off - pixel density might be too low being a 2k at 32", and I've heard horrible things about Samsung's quality standards. 1000r is probably too much curve as well.

I missed the AW deal too :-(. I was going to order last Sunday but the deal expired earlier than it said.

Well after much deliberation I've ended up buying the AW3423DWF - ideally I wanted to stick around the £600 mark but with a discount code I managed to get the AW for £790.

Most tech reviewers favoured this monitor so just bit the bullet. Hopefully I wont regret my purchase...

Nice! Congratulations.

Unboxing it this weekend, been having work done on the house and extension is finished so will be putting pc desk together this weekend. Will get back to you before Monday.
@gjbf1 I've had it for a while now and happy with it. Coming from 25" 1440p 60hz monitor there is not much difference but good to have higher refresh rate which make big difference when gaming.
Regarding greys not looking like oled, yes thats true but only makes a big difference if you play in pitch dark room. Put some rgb lights on the back of monitor when gaming at night and you will be good. I have oled tv, would have gone for oled monitor if not for screen burn.

Thanks for getting back to me. Was there much of a step up in image quality?
