hi people

please spec me a gaming rig and maybe for video editing aswell.

I will need dvd-rw, wireless keyboard+mouse, windows xp, a card reader, and xbox wireless controller for pc

games I will be playing:

gears of war
crysis
assasins creed
kayne and lynch
Bioshock

Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (XP/Vista Compatible) (JR9-00002)

maximum I would spend is £1200 for everything.

I have a screen but can I use a 40" HD 1080p TV for gaming or not?

any help would be very greatfully received

thanks

Easy
Q6600
X38 MB like Asus Maximus Formula
4GB PC6400/8500 (depends if your going to overclock)
Decent 600W PSU
8800GTX best choice for now, you could go 9800GX2 but it will be out dated in 2/3months and the GTX isnt any slower.

no point getting 8gb and running 32 bit o/s.

psu wise i'd go for the corsair 520/620w.

processor wise i'd go for a 6600 quad or a 8200 wolfdale.

have a look at the samsung 1tb 32mb cache drive.

have a look at the ocuk 24" monitor.

maybe drop the sound card and go with the mobo's onboard.
