Looking at building a mini itx gaming rig. Would like to run all the latest games on high settings and cover me for a few years before building a new rig. I do like the look of the MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr, is it any good for my build.

I already have...
i5 2500k
XFX PRO 750w
Hard drives.

So all I need is ..
Mobo
Ram
CPU Cooler
Graphics Card
Case

Budget around £300-£350

Thanks for any help or advice.

Thanks shivvy, I was looking at the ASRock Z77E would this be a good choice?

ASRock Z77E
TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB
XFX Radeon R9 280 DD Black Edition 3072MB
Antec Kúhler H2O 950

Brings me to about £70 quid over budget, but don't mind if that's the best I can do for the money?

Feel like Ive been moved to the naughty room hahaha, done a quick research on the Antec Kúhler H2O 950 and it don't look great, any ideas on another cooler?

Antec 1250, H100i has compatibility issues with Win8.1 I believe. Also the H105 or H80 single rad series

Hi thanks for the replies, I'm using windows 7, I would love to have the h100i but its taking me way over budget, unless I could lose it somewhere else.

So at the moment Im going with
Intel i5 2500k
ASRock Z77E
Corsair Obsidian Series 250D Mini ITX
TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB
XFX Radeon R9 280 DD Black Edition 3072MB
XFX PRO 750w
CPU Cooler??????

Looks good or not? lol

Save £24?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Powercolor Radeon R9 280 TurboDUO 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £149.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G1600HC9DC01) £61.99
Total : £211.98 (includes shipping : ).

The RAM is the same stuff btw. How much have you gotten the Z77E-ITX for?

The GPU I specced comes with a free 60GB SSD which can be resold - the memory is in essence the same but it would take a bit of tweaking to get it to the same speed as the 2133 I specced and if you spent that bit more you could just press a button and it automatically clocks, but yeah it's a good idea

Thanks for your help guys, I have not bought the Z77E yet mate, so open to any advice on a better board? Was looking to pay no more than £80, which does bring me over budget but would be worth the extra money?

You're limited really, because your CPU is the older 1155 socket.

The Z77E-ITX is around £80, alternatives include the Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI, Asus P8Z77-I DELUXE and MSI Z77IA-E53. I think you'll struggle to find them though, only the Asrock seems to be available still.

Thats commercialization for you hahaha, Its still a good build for the money though right? I'm not one for jumping on the latest and greatest and cant warrant switching CPU when the i5 2500k is a great little cpu.
