There are also other things to consider with noise, the CPU heatsink and fan, the gpu etc.

Yup and my GPUs cause a lot of it. My case has 5 120mm fans in t - even though they're noctuas it's still quite loud. I've got a corsair H60 coming in the post so hopefully that will be pretty quiet too![]()

how come you went for the h60 over the h70? jus curious cos thinking about getting a h70 soon![]()
well the GTX260 fans spin up automatically when they get hot, The ATCS840 comes with a large box you can fit a 120mm fan too that fits over the rear expansion slots to suck air out and help cool the cards hot exhausts.
Stulid take it you didnt get it from that place I told you about as your getting silver one?
but persistence paid off
Are Windowed side panels readily available?

they only had blackbut persistence paid off
I dont use a bottom fan, I find the stock cooling is more than enough.
Most window mods i see use a window rubber to hold it in place, this looks **** in my opinion, a genuine panel will have the window secured with quality fittings.
There was very little difference between them cooling wise based on all the reviews I read, so I didn't see the point spending the extra.
Not sure if that's something in the GPU's BIOS (or equivalent of), but I use EVGA Precision (same kind of thing as MSI Afterburner) and I just manually control the fans depending on the game. For example in Mass Effect I just leave them both at 45%. I have them jsut boot up to 40%. They 65nm idles at about 55C with the 55nm one at about 50C.
