Like the title says im looking to start watching some good old films.
I like the war films and westerns. There is something about them you just dont get in the new blockbusters but i just cant put my finger on it.

So far ive ticked these off my list

Hah there is loads im gunna have to get cracking, i have seen a few of these films i the past but not well enough to remeber, i didnt even remember id seen them until i read the titles.

^^ ive seen these before but will be the first i watch again.

Also can anyone tell me the name of the film where the english played football and escaped from the stadium? It was ww2.

Like i said in my OP there is something about these old films that get me hooked but i cant nail it, what is it for you guys?

The age group I'm in I suppose. I grew up watching a great many of the films mentioned in this thread and, for me, they just have a better replay factor than 'newer' films.
