Please wish my rat the best with her operation today... (eww pic)

hope the op goes well and she makes a swift recovery

just one question though... a tumour that big, did you not notice it sooner? :o

yeah, but there is always a risk with small animals and surgery.

The lump has been there for 7 months but hasn't affected her movement and whatnot, and although she was bright eyed and bushy tailed - it was starting to annoy her. so it was finally time.

Leee raat hass beeiiigg cajhones, senor!

Seriously though.....good luck with that!

My spaniel gets the same fatty tumours occassionally, I hate the fear of bringing him to the vet. :(

i just phoned up again, she's fully awake and messing around in her cage.

she is a little piggie so I expect she'll eat soon

Glad shes ok :)
Luckily none of my rats have ever had growths *touchwood*

Must say she looks fairly large (not including her growth) my current females are very small compared to my males who are bloody huge :D

Good news! :D

Would I be right in saying that you gave the vet the appropriate ratification to proceed with the operation?

sorry

she hopefully will be back with me tomorrow, they will lkeep her overnight to make sure she doesn't pull her stiches out

Must say she looks fairly large

both her and her sister are big, the other rat in the cage (of a similar age) is much smaller. sophie weighs 500g and amy (sister) weighs 400g

nose to tail, they are both longer than my computer keyboard :)

I miss my little Dave. We had him put down a few months ago but he was very old. I'll get Dave mk II when I finish my degree.
