Plex buffering issues

Hi Guys, looking for some help.

I use my main PC (9900k, 32gb 3200mhz Ram, 3080 ti etc) as a plex media server. I use my PS5 for all my streaming etc but I'm having constant buffering issues and freezing with plex, particularly with 4k content and I'm not sure how to fix it.

Any help greatly appreciated.

if you are transcoding 4k then you have missed the point.
whats your network environment?
the plex client on the playstation has never been very good as had always had issues. I gave up long ago trying to get it work reliably wired on a ps4.
It's either the server cant keep up with the transcode or the newtork cant keep up with the bitrate. If you want to use hardware transcoding, have you got a full plex pass, otherwise it wont be using your 3080 to convert anything.

Using WiFi or powerline for any of your equipment?

If your TV can install its own apps then try running the Plex on natively on the TV, rather than through the PS5. If your TV is up to date it may well be able to direct play HEVC 4k files without requesting transcoding on the server. It may still have to transcode the audio depending on format, but it is the video you want to avoid transcoding.

Or get a cheap-ish streaming stick that can direct play like a Fire or Roku to be your client.
