I'm not sure i'm reading this right but i'm seeing that while the plextor keeps its speed in check even while messing with garbage collection etc minus trim it's still not really THAT quick?

Just curious as i'm tempted to look at their slightly higher performance models if the controller resiliance is good across the board. Having a drive that can hold 500MBsec even when stuffed full of data and dirty blocks without trim would make it the premium choice for raid-0.

In fact that graph has me considering a sandforce based controller again. I'd rather discounted it due to the quoted speeds being with compressible data etc.

The plex M2S at £110 for 256GB is rather decent though. Tempted on price.

Thoughts?
