I can't seem to find any times for it. Does anyone actually know how fast/slow it is?

Slower than it would be if it had less tables velcro'd to it.

Nobody has any times. As far as I'm aware it's yet to set a timed lap.

I think it can do 0-1200° in about 1 minute

I do kinda of hope he makes it to the world championships so we can see how far of the pace it is, that's if it doesn't catch fire before setting a lap.

Has he not entered it into the British Time Attack championship? Seems like the logical first step before going to the other side of the world to enter a top tier competition. As for funding, I'll be willing to fund somebody to follow him around in a normal elise on a track day to see how much performance he has got from all the furniture.

I highly doubt he'll be allowed to race it anyway... Just need to tip off the organisers and that will be that. "By the way, his car with its glued chassis has been in a 1200 degree fire and is unsafe" would do the trick I imagine.

Agreed about this crowd funding stuff, this girl I know has set one up for her to get a house deposit...

It was in the original thread 'turbo elise, add lightness... blah blah' I'm not sure if the mods deleted it or just locked it though.

wasnt it "lotus elige turbo- simplify then add lightness"

i'm sure if you searched for turbotoasters started threads it'd be in there. the rx7 and m5 threads are entertaining reading too

I went on the Turbotoaster journey after reading this thread....

After that comment above, I actually do feel sorry for him too. Poor guy. Hes not exactly Hitler, but the reactions to him must have hurt over time at least. It cant be nice to have so many people laugh at you.
