Plug-in Power & Energy Monitor

I was just curious how you guys were plugging it in.

Do you think it will have any effect on surge protection guarantees. My surge protector insures my appliances for upto a silly amount of cash, do you think having this plugged in would cause any problems should there be a power surge?.......

Or in any case, does this device perhaps have built in surge protection to some degree?

Would hate to waste money on one if it voids any claim for damages on the surge protector, in 1 in a million chance the surge protector blows up.

Geez, I can't mention the major UK electronics supplier...

...this place is so paranoid - just because they happen to sell other things...

They are a competitor, why would a SHOP forum want its competitors advertised for free?

Follow the rules or just don't post, your not forced to.

You know exactly what I mean...

Yes, this is a forum hosted by a 'shop' - but everyone knows it's much more than just that and is predominantly a forum for enthusiasts, yet you have to go to arcane lengths to describe where to get things to help others for fear of mentioning a name just because that other place happens to sell some overpriced and out of date PC stuff...

To an extent I agree with you.

But at the end of the day, rules are rules. You using these forums for free, at Spie's expense. If you have a problem with the rules contact the Moderators - or Spie himself, if you have the balls.
