Hi all, I have recently had a Plumber come in and fit me a shower in which he got his electirician to do all the electrical work for "legal reson's" we have just realised that we did not recieve any sort of legal document about the shower being safe for the electrical work (which i believe we need), On mailing the Plumber he has said that the electrician is his mate and did him a favor by doing all the electrical work and to get him back again to test it and issue a certificate is going to cost more money.
am i correct in saying that the work should have come with the relevent legal documents and been fully tested? Also we did not get an invoice for the work and paid the customer in cash, I think we have made a bit of a boo boo buy not getting all of this, All we have from him is the e-mails with the costing quotes.
Do we have a leg to stand on or are we going to have to pay to get the certificate?
