I live in a very much bridged together by landlords house.

I've had a washing machine a while and just picked up a dishwasher.
There's a 1.5"(looks like, can't find my tape measure at this exact time) which is angled through the wall and into an outside drain pipe. Which we just pushed the washing machine pipe all the way in.
But two pipes coming off the appliances oviously wont fit in the waste pipe, so I want to cap the waste pipe and have proper fittings to attach the two hoses from.
But I can't find anything on DIY.com, but then I don't know what I'm looking for or what names to search for. So any help would be appreciated.

That looks like it would end up a bit of a bodge! I think the solvent weld joint is also meant to to attach to the pipework and screw on end to the U-bend of a sink.

Do you have a local plumbers merchant or plumbase? I would expect them to stock them (I'm not a plumber so I can't be sure).

I would just get a normal Tee and then get a couple of nozzle caps, that way you wont need to blank off the center

Thans so get a 40mm t-piece and how do these fit on to the pipe?

They just screw on the ends

edit: you mean the machine waste pipes ? You put fit them on as far as you can on the taper and using a jubilee clip clamp the hose down
