As part of our new house refurb I need to relocate a sink and washing machine from one wall to another.

What is the easiest way to route the pipes - should I be using copper or plastic (which I assume would be quicker)?

I'm a traditionalist, copper & soldered fittings ideally.

Known peeps to use plastic & it's come apart, due to they not fully seating the pipe in the fitting, & many other reasons, & ended up with flooding the kitchen.

Copper just because you'll be running it in an area of high impact or somewhere you won't want to be pulling up again.

Plus you really should do the last bit in copper anyway.

Waste in plastic.

Use Solvent weld wasting fittings, I have no faith in push fit plastic waste fittings, after a slight mishap with them, not me, but my neighbour.

Cheers guys thats very helpful.

I noticed this evening that there are no radiators upstairs (how did I miss that?), looks like a fairly simple job to put more in using speedfit.

Haven't got a choice really as my gf is always cold.

In my defence the wallpaper is so awful in the upstairs bedrooms that I couldn't stand to stay in the rooms for very long (plus when we looked there was furniture everywhere).
