Plusnet Discussion Thread

Seems a good deal now, 900Mb £29.99/£33.99/£37.99.

£831 for the 24 months. I wish they wouldn't play the silly games and just call it £34.60 a month for 24 months.

Well off to a great start, error setting up direct debit, please contact us. Login details dont work, would be super easy to try to re-enter bank details from there. Seemingly no text-based way of contacting them, phone only. No thanks. Already regretting this decision, Aquiss youd just message them via the ticket system or direct on whatsapp, or by email.

I can get a 2gb/2gb line for the similar money from my local Altnet. £897 for 2 years.

A 1gb/1gb line comes in at £790.

It's all that negative energy you carry.

Great. No altnets here.
I guess I'm expecting too much for a reply with 24 hours.
If the order hasn't gone through, I expect it would have setup the direct debit by now and my current provider alerted me.
Idnet might be my next choice I can choose not to take a router as well which I don't need.

If you don’t want to phone them, post on the PN forum. Staff are on there regularly.

I have been with Plusnet since the very late 90's, iirc. They were called Force9..?
One factor that has persuaded me to stay has been their support, when needed. It has always been very positive and most reassuring, either their forum or, typically, using the phone.
Only one time did an issue take some time to resolve, that was when I had FTTC and the last part, the CCA line to our house, there was an issue where the OR engineers needed to sort out the underground cable running between two poles, as well as renew the cable from the last pole to our house.

I am typically tempted to jump ship, ten months left on my FTTP contract, especially now we have the choice of BRSK, but I am reminded of how their CS has been for me.

Just renewed with plusnet, no other competition in my area other than vodafone and I do not want to deal with their cs or lack of

so is there any scope for negotiation with plusnet to match the 900MB £831£651 with quidco cashback offered to transfers ?

although quidco contsraint no cashback
If you obtain a quote through Plusnet Broadband and purchase through Quidco
may mean that previously even doing a whatif, directly on plusnet site, with your address, may block this (should have stuck with neighbours addresses)

without the quidco cashback it will cost me the same if I stayed with SKY for 24mnths (they have a slightly less silly single increase after 12months)
I may still move to plusnet from SKY, but had wanted to first port the landline number to a voip service, but sky tell me the BB would stop simultaenously,
leaving me without BB during the period it took to then start a plusnet contract, if I can't synchronise dates.

Had to prompt them for a reply today but did eventually get back that it looks like the order had an issue part way so they deleted it. I can reorder if I choose to.
Thought that was nice of them and to not even let me know. Not thrilled with the service so I'm going with either Zen or Idnet instead.

That is what I could get if I changed from my 500Mb connection, no incentive to do that. Probably cheaper as a new customer..!

Yup, new deal...
