Plusnet Router Upgrade

I couldn't recommend Netgear nighthawks, I've had numerous clients have instability issues with them, having to reset them 3/4 times to get them stable or rebooting them just to restore an internet connection.

I'm on a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 with Plusnet. I didn't really try it with stock firmware but flashed it straight away with Asus-wrt Merlin. It's fantastic and rock solid. Wi-Fi is great and the VPN client works well.
The Netgear firmware is pants but if you are prepared to flash it I would recommend it.

Ubiquiti Edgerouter X

£50 ish, has Smart queue management to stop lag when someone else is streaming or downloading.

Only drawback is needing a separate modem and Wifi ap.
