Ricardox: With the thicker pastes you need to spread it out yourself using a credit card or something. Thinner pastes get spread out nicely by the heatsink itself...
have you read any guides to applying thermal paste? If you use too much, you can do damage just as easily as not using enough... Make sure your cooler isn't twisted on the cpu, as occasionally people have had issues with the cooler not covering the entire cpu.
Also, try not to double/triple/quadruple post. The mods will come down hard on you for that, as its increasing your post count without doing anything useful.
