If you like far-right stuff, that is :D

Sam Harris is a great podcast and he certainly isn't far-right, if anything he slightly to the left in the traditional sense..but I guess you probably know that!

Other great podcasts:

Dan Carlin - Hardcore History & Common Sense
Talking Politics - David Runciman
Revisionist History - Malcolm Gladwell
Remainiacs
S-Town

I also listen to loads of sports podcasts ranging from cycling to rugby.

Haha, Alex jones man, holy ****. Great episode for very different reasons.

Is that what that is? It wouldn’t load that far for me.

But no thanks, there are a lot of things I rather do thank listen to anything he has to say.

That episode could either leave you wanting more or make you never want to listen to JRE again.

It can only go one way, if he agrees with him then it makes me rage listening to it so I don’t want to listen to anymore, if he argues with him it still makes me rage and I don’t want to listen to anymore, either way I don’t think I will come out thinking it’s time well spent. I mean there is a chance but it’s so small that I don’t think it’s worth the time for that possibility.

if you keep an open mind, its entertaining.

Does he take the mick out of him for 2hrs and destroys him on his beliefs?

even if he does, and that would be the best case scenario, I still don’t think it’s time well spent because half of that would be Alex Jones.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic as I've been accused of this by certain members here.

I've started listening to a few during lockdown, nothing massively mainstream.

Kempcast - Ross Kemp chatting to some intresting people about their life, what they've been through/achived.
Wild Tales Podcast - Similar to the Kempcast but with Jason Fox ex SBS bloke.
Stromcast - All things supplement/gym related with Richard Foster the owner of Strom nutrition and generally very knowledgeable no BS bloke.
Prep Radio - Again all things gym/supps/running a gym related with Tom Blackman and Paul Scarborough
TeapotOne Bru Time - Guy called Bruce Smart that travelled around the world on a Gixxer a few years ago, has a few beers gets a bit merry with the guests and talks anything motorbike related.

its a few years old so i honestly cant remember. JR admits that he doesnt agree with most things he says. Also i believe eddie bravo is a flat earther. . now they're a special kind of people.

How on earth are Sam Harris or Lex Fridman far right? Edit: Ah, just seen that you were being sarcastic.

Harris is certainly left-leaning, albeit he doesn't go in for the overt political correctness which some on the left do, and all of Fridman's podcasts that I've listened to have been apolitical and just discussions about tech.

One criticism I have of Sam Harris is that he's interviewing fewer generally interesting people now (Dawkins, Gervais, Bostrom etc) and doing a lot more anti-Trump and anti-wokeness rants. All of his recent episodes seem to focus heavily on the same theme, and while I agree with a lot of his points, he's made them now and I'd much rather listen to him discuss other issues with people.

Another very good one is Tristan Harris's podcast, Your Undivided Attention.

It's just entertainment :p Don't take it so seriously. In fact I'm listening to it now, Jones can go down a rabbit hole in a flash, at the moment they are talking about inter dimensional pedophile hive minds physic vampires :p:p:p:p

As a fan of the TV series Scrubs I’m enjoying the Fake Doctors Real Friends podcast with Zach Brad & Donald Faison talking about each episode. It’s currently on series 3.

If I’m on mushrooms I’ll probably enjoy it.

My go to are :

The Rewatchables. Fun deep dive movie discussion podcast. If you're 38-55 there's probably a lot of stuff here for you. Start with the first Heat pod. I listen to almost every ep even if I don't know the movie.

Stop Podcasting Yourself. Recommended by Buxton on his Greta Gerwig ep in the post chat waffle at the end. Two good comedian friends usually have a rotating random usually local ( Vancouver ) guest and they just have irreverent chat. Been doing an episode a week for 12 years now !

Hot Boxin' with Mike Tyson

The Evander Hollyfield episode is quite possibly the best piece of media (TV show, movie, whatever) I've ever watched in my whole life.

Ive been heavily in to podcasts for years. It started when I had a 1:30hr commute and I needed something to pass the time.

Nowadays (with a 30 min commute) I only keep 2 episodes of any podcast on my phone, at any one time. I’ve found that any more than that and I never get round to listening to them due to the number of subscriptions I have.

I probably spend more time listening to them whilst walking the dog than in the car, but it’s also a reason I stopped subscribing to Joe Rogan. He was releasing 3 or 4 episodes a week and I’d find that I was having to go back through the catalogue to find ones that I’d missed.

My current list of subs:

  1. Accidental tech podcast
  2. AVForums podcast
  3. The comedy button
  4. F1: Beyond the grid
  5. Giant bombcast
  6. Macbreak weekly (I only ever bother listening after a big apple event)
  7. Now playing - the movie review podcast
  8. The Race F1 podcast
  9. Reply all
  10. Rooster teeth podcast
  11. The talk show with John Gruber
  12. The vergecast
I’ve gone to prefer this over Kermode and Mayo. There’s no adverts and their reviews are usually bang on... plus they aren’t up themselves like Kermode :p

It’s a gem that I rarely see people recommend but one I enjoy listening to.
