Other than the Planet VIP-156PE does anyone know of, or have experience with a PoE powered ATA? I'm not a big fan of Planet stuff.

I'm specifically looking for a PoE powered ATA, not an ATA that can output PoE. Where I need the ATA to go there aren't any spare sockets but there is a PoE switch right there so I'd rather power the ATA using PoE than put in an extension lead or similar to give an additional socket.

Only the Planet one that I know of. Cisco used to support PoE on their SCCP adapters but that's not relevant for SIP.

The Grandstream HT801/802 use a micro USB for power, so if there's something nearby with a USB port on you might be able to get away with using that for power.

My HT801 has arrived and it's putting up a fight, I can't log into the damn thing! The documentation says that the default password is 'admin' but that's rejected. I've factory reset the thing too and it's made no difference.

Something to work on when I've got a bit more time.
