Point and click detective type games

Right the GF likes these silly flash games where you have to figure stuff out either detective / murder types or escape from a room etc.

Is there any major titles around that are similar so I can bring her into the real realm of pc gaming rather than flash sites.

Try Sherlock Holmes, theres a bunch of them available on Steam atm. From what i understand they're like that (bought them for my GF but i'm not entirely sure how they play out).

The Mystery Case files on Steam are supposed to be quite good. Only tried demos myself but I enjoyed them. Bit too pricey for me though.

Broken Sword 1, 2 and I think there was a 3
Runaway 1 & 2

There was a recent one that was in a haunted hotel. Excellent game, I completed it over a weekend but was playing it for ages. Very good game

Someone will know the name of it, I just tried searching on my drive for the installer but cant find it
