I love point and click games and at the moment playing Jack Keane but know it will be soon finished so I will need a new game. any ideas as they are hard to come by as they don't make so many, and i have done most of the usual ones.

Go retro, most of the best are retro.

Day of the Tentacle
Grim Fandango
Beneath a Steel Sky (free)
Flight of the Amazon Queen
Sam & Max
Full Throttle
Monkey Island series

the list goes on and on.

The older ones are the best although Sam & Max do have modern Episodic games that you can get through Steam. You might want to check out SCUMMVM because it allows you to play a lot of these point and click games on modern operating systems, it's a virtual machine rather than an emulator.

Some more classics:

Loom
Indiana Jonbes and the Fate of Atlantis
The Dig
Simon the Sorcerer 1&2
Blade Runner
The Longest Journey
Sanitarium
Broken Sword 1&2
Discworld 1-3
Toonstruck
Kyrandia 1-3
Gabriel Knight

Not strictly point-and-click but you might find Fahrenheit of interest, it's basically point and click style with a slightly more elaborate interface. There's also that modern Dreamfall: The Longest Journey game, although I coudln't get into it.

So damn many

Monkey island, space quest, kings quest, Maniac Mansion 1 and 2, leisuire suit larry, loom, blade runner, broken swords, disc world, gabriel knight, indiana jones, grim fandango, beneath a steel sky

...SOOO many, those were the days.

Pop over to gameboomers (google it) for a friendly place to discuss and find reviews and info and walkthroughs for point and click adv games. I go there and its mint.

Played it through on the xbox, takes a while to become good, but I thought it was fantastic. Not really point and click though. I played a point and click years ago called Majestic (something else on the end, forget what) that was great. And got Black Dahlia recently in order to replay it...

Syberia games aren't bad but make sure you get both of them.

EDIT: Oh yeah forgot about Broken Sword series (latest one was meh mind).

The Longest Journey is very good
Dreamfall is playable (not point and click) but needed for the continuation of the story and is basically just an interative story with very few puzzles.

Of course there's always Myst, Riven, Myst III Exile and Myst IV Revelation.
I found the story in Myst to be very good and the puzzles quite challenging (In the earlier ones at least).

3D graphics have ruined the point and click adventure me thinks, from my limited exposure to them.
