Whilst i was sorted out my shed (the one with the spiders) i came across my old cards, my question is are they worth anything? Can i flog them on an auction site or are any of them particularly valuable (i doubt it)? They are all of the first 150 Pokémon as it were.

Thanks,

OSB

You should've sold Charizard back in the day, you'd have made a fortune :p

[edit] I've just realised what I've posted. I have no life :(

Keep it till they become "trendy" again. If ever. Plus, there would bound to be some kind of collector later down the line.

My haggling skills were amazing with Pokemon cards. I think I have about 4 or 5 Charizards along with all the other rares. Good old times :p

It was the sweeties that made the deal! Seriously tho it was the only time i ever bought a pack of the cards and 20 quid is a lot of cigarette money when yr parents dont know that you smoke!

On the bay,ive seen mint conditions charizards go for more than £250,if you have the 3 main ones,Charizard,Blastoise and Venusaur, you can make almost £1000

My son used to have about 1000 of these when he was a young 'un. I ended up taking them to the incinerator along with a load of other dust-hording junk. When he asked me where they were and I told him his face just dropped.

Now I can see why. I didn't think they were actually worth anything.

Apparantly they were the "extremely rare" ones as well. :o

I have the first series COMPLETE in mint condition back home, including 2-3 swaps of charizard i think! Dare to think how much i spent growing the collection, ebay tells me its worth 20-30 max now.

I traded an Onyx or something for a charizard after pointing out they had the same hp or something.

I remember the good old days of ST:TNG CCCG, and the disappointment of finding out that if I'd started collecting earlier, I could've had a collection worth double because they had black borders. I had to make do with white borders instead. :(

I remember my Uncle paid over 100 notes for a black border Future Enterprise card from the Alternate Universe set. The only ultra-rare card they did IIRC. Mad/sadness.
