I've started collecting Pokémon TCG with my daughters, think I'm more into it than they are .

Where is the best known place to buy cards from, avoiding fakes and inflated prices, English, Korean or Japanese cards, is Japanese the best as this is where Pokémon started ?

I've used amazon for our first purchase, although the prices on there seem high.
We ordered Pokémon TCG Glory of Team Rocket Booster Pack x3 | Japanese Pokémon Cards £17.
 
Chaos cards for Pokemon is my recommendation

If wanting Japanese/korean I’ve used Japan2UK

In don’t trust amazon for cards as too many fakes on there like ebay

If able and have a local card game store I’d say support them too providing they haven’t joined the scalper crew

I have one o regularly visit for Star Wars unlimited. They do other products but they don’t over charge so I try support them as much as I can
 
I've taken a punt at this site I came across, japantradingcardstore cards are direct from Japan, only ordered a small tester amount, see what turns up.

The Destiny Rivals (Jap) packs we want are currently £2 on there.

That will get expensive :D
As others said, for sure ChaosCards, MagicMadhouse, Wayland Games, sometimes CardMarket depending on the seller.

TBF for the Destiny Rivals it worked out cheaper than buying from the UK inc shipping worked out about £3.60 pp, think the cheapest in the UK I could get for £4.50 pp at the time.

I've just brought a bunch of Battle Partners from Japan2UK for £2 each bargain.

I was collecting Lorcana with my daughter for a few years but just go so expensive and a lot of time needed!
 
Im curious - having picked up collecting with my nephews and step-son in the last few weeks. I’m finding to get anything at all a nightmare. Even in the little town next to our village, the lady working there told me that at 6am every morning (opening) someone rings to see if they have stock, and will purchase the lot shortly after. Madness.

Do similar problems exist for you also? I’ve managed a snag a couple of bits online but it’s dribs and drabs!

It feels like long gone are the day of picking up a few packs on a whim!

We’re all off to a card show in June so there is that to look forward to.

It’s what Pokémon has turned into past 2 years a nightmare to buy

So much so am done with it, shops scalp, community is toxic as well

I only play and collect Star Wars unlimited now
 
Picked some up when the 151 collection came out.
Spent bit more than I wanted, but got a whole bulk load of them now, ex gf used all the digital ones for the online version that she played.
Still got a few booster boxes sealed, it was my intention to open them until the relationship failed then they sat about, given these boxes have gone from like £30 to current price of £150, im sort of against opening them now, not worth my risk for a couple selective cards.
 
I use Amazon invites, Magic Madhouse invites and Chaos Cards. I pop into the odd game/toyshop on the off chance they have any. I am moving towards just buying single cards that I want now as its crazy out there with scalpers.
