Managed to grab a few packs at local Londis for £3.99 a pack.
However, my kids are now going in disapointed as they are selling the full boxes to an old chap as son as they arrive.
We were told to pop in this morning to grab some packs. Only to be told that a chap came in 10 mins before us and purchased 72 packs.
None left.
What the actual heck? why do they allow them to buy so many? and why is a middle aged man buying 72 packs at once?? jeeeeebus

I have had the exact same thing at our Morrisons local (which has now closed) to the point where I’m confident I identified the accounts then reposting them on eBay. The woman explained that someone phoned every morning on opening, if they had them they’d be in shortly after to buy the lot.

My answer to it one time during a set release (Chaos rising) was to get there in person at opening, and buy one of the half boosters outright for me and my step son to open. ****ers.

I don’t collect them but I won 10x NEW POKÉMON TCG: FIRST PARTNER ILLUSTRATION SERIES 1 BOXES

I’ll not be opening them as I cba researching etc and may be worse off for it (noting they cost me nothing) Probs just sell them as they are. My nephew is into all that wheeling and dealing, I’ll get him to do it lol.

Those are worth a pretty penny!! They retail at £15 but I believe sell for triple that. Epic win!

Yeah it’s a bit of an odd one. I don’t have a scalping bone in my body so the thought of selling for profit makes me uncomfortable. But then I wouldn’t want to sell for less than going rate as I’d think well this is just someone who is going to immediately try resell lol.
Hence I’d rather let nephew deal with it and give him a chunk

Edit. Add 1x POKÉMON CENTER TCG: SCARLET & VIOLET-TEMPORAL FORCES ETB (IRON LEAVES)

Fair play, I have pulled it too but too nervous around scams/card swaps to sell online, will be taking anything we want to unload to our next card show (ICC Newport incase anyone is heading there!)

I got super lucky and pulled the green RGB Mew, lost a small fortune by now not selling it immediately, tempted to get it graded and keep it forever!

@TommyV which cards are you primarily collecting?

I’ve got into this the other day but I don’t think it’s for me. Got a pack of Chinese, Korean and Japanese cards just as a tester session. I think finding actual good stuff is difficult.

I think many are doing it for £££ rather than the enjoyment of the hobby.

Yeah, it’s not really worth it IMO. Lots of people buy them up to “invest” or resell.

My kids were interested a while back but after a few trips not being able to buy any, they just lost interest.

The irony of it is there are so many people buying and holding I wonder if they’ll even be worth much in the future?
 
Sold all those Series 1 things I won . £40 each, all went in about an hour.

Just got that Pokémon Centre temporal wotsit. Might just put it in a box and forget it for ten years.

get all the invites on amazon done youll get lucky there, kids also dont care too much if ripping packs if they are from asia.
