Polaris refresh?

That's a good point if Vega 11 is suppose to be a Polaris 10 replacement, but if that is the case why do a 485 style refresh.
Maybe they are covering their bases in case Vega turns out to be better/worse than they estimate.

It'll be interesting to see what these refinements mean for Vega. If they can reduce power consumption this much through process refinements then Vega should hopefully benefit too, though maybe they have already taken this into account.

if rumors are true, most likely keep the 480 naming and uses the better chips is the 8GB version - since its the flag ship and has the higher clocking ram and keep the other chips based on the 4Gb until this run out, but still keep same speeds as stated above.
would give the 8GB a clear advantage over the 4gb version and allow for a bit of a price bump to really separate the two models, almost like the 1060 6gb/1060 3GB

A refresh so soon after a release? I know the rx480 haven't lived up to hype around them but wouldn't AMD be better off releasing a new Fury/x to compete with the 1070/1080 ASAP? I'm aware Vega is due next year but a refresh of Polaris is just a complete waste AMD's and the customers money.

In my opinion it is anyway
