Hi,

I have an interview with a police force next month - it's an intelligence / analysis based role. I was wondering if anyone had specific pointers or default questions that are asked by police forces.

I know having interviewed for Local Authority roles that they always drop in an equality / fairness based question. I assume police may have similar?

I can reasonably assume what to expect in terms of specific role based questions but I don't want to be caught out by the general questions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Lucky you, I applied for a similar position but didn't get through :(

Police will have equality questions, but as my friend got through he said it really is a standard interview that you'd expect from any business.

Thanks for info.

I targeted all local police force websites and out of sheer coincidence / luck they were all hiring for similar posts. The problem is that almost all seem to being going through a redundancy process so you don't end up being prioritised due to redeployment and are on a bit of a back foot from the start.

Where abouts are you looking? National Crime Agency have similar jobs up but most are in Bristol.

Have my police final interview today! How did you get on in the end, have you head anything?

Hi - the role I applied for was an investigative role and fell within the Social Care division. I was unsuccessful; I was up against some internal applicants who knew all the procedures etc so I don't think I stood much chance regardless.
