If I was at home, I might be tempted for giggles. As it happens, the only machine I currently have remote access to is the WinSMP/GPU hybrid and that only gives me about 8,000 a day so, even switching that over, would only gain about 5 days.

I'm half tempted to switch back to the old Bigstan account when I get back home though. I've calculated that I could have the number 1 spot (which I held briefly a while back) within 6 months.

I'm in two minds though, as I'm not sure how long I want to keep this up. I only restarted for a bit of fun and I would imagine the leccy bill will put me off continuing for too long - also the fact that I haven't done much gaming recently and should really try to get the half dozen or so unfinished games I have been neglecting finished.

We'll see.
 
This is why I bought a second GTX 260. I have a few games I got over Christmas from Steam and other places and when I played them I had to turn off my GPU foldy goodness. With my second GPU always-on, I don't have to concern myself with losing a few hours on my main GPU. :D

Considering you're kicking out 24K a day, I think you can afford to lose some folding time!

If the bigadv machine runs uninterrupted, I'll be kicking out about 45k a day ;) Only problem is, the bigadv machine is also my gaming rig :( (my solitary GPU client runs on an 8800GTX which is on my photo editing machine). The gaming rig has two HD4890s in crossfire which don't fold at the moment but may do if the GPU3 client eventually makes it worthwhile.
 
You don't really need an i7 to run games, so if your photoediting machine already has a decent CPU - Q6600 or whatever - then why not put your ATI cards in that? That way you can have your i7 running Bigadv non-stop and you can game whenever you want.

Or just buy a new i7 rig :p
 
Thanks for the parp sir-les. I will be back in a few days but my folding power will be limited. I'll see what I can do. :D

I've had my fun stomping through the ranks as Stan_Lite so I think when I get home, I'll switch everything back over to the Bigstan account. I'm not being vindictive, it just seems silly battling my way back up when I have an account in the top 10 already. Time to take some of those places back :D

I don't have any choice. I don't get home for another two weeks and, as much as I trust my newly appointed assistant Folder, I'm not about to ask her to start working with -configonly flags or changing config files etc :p

Don't worry, it'll only take you 3 or 4 weeks to catch Stan_Lite back up ;)
 
Hey Sirius you could always borrow my rig for a bit ;)

Stan's not gonna get near me yet :p

Also we need to give Biffa a birthday spanking :), Happy birthday me old china :D
