Thats a good list, although there is virtually nothing on that steam list that I actually use, so I dont really care that steam has them as its about as relevant as me worrying whether or not my tv subcription includes the Horse and Country channel![]()
Good for you too. Not something I use at all but I know that is a feature that many people like.
Which is perfect for you, can see why its a big factor for you. I havent reinstalled my OS in years and dont plan to for years, when I eventually do it wont be a big deal for me to backup maybe a dozen (max) saved games. I dont have a gaming laptop and so I only ever game on my home PC, so not an issue for me in that regard either. Everyone is different and has different requirements for their gaming of course and I'm sure that for some the steam features are a big bonus, I'm just one of those people for whom the steam features are meaningless.
I'll be waiting. Actually, I may just wait for GOTY.
Is there any way on the poll to see the usernames of who it is thats voted for each vote option?
It doesnt particularly, it would just be interesting down the road to see which people who said they will buy it on Epic, change their mind and wait for Steam and which people who said they would wait for Steam, change their mind and buy it on Epic. In terms of how much it matters, the answer is not a jot, think of it merely as something that sates my own personal curiosity rather than something which matters on a universal scale.
We've seen how it works before. People are happy to say they'll wait before its out. Then day 1, it's purchased.
Boarderlands is one of those games i only play in Coop with mates and they don't like the Epic Game Store, Steam is also so much better functionally for Coop play.
I'll wait.
Must admit that I too very rarely pay £50. I generally always get a key from cdkeys or kinguin instead, I think the only real exceptions to that are Uplay titles, paid full for Assasins Creed Origins, Odyssey and Division 2 off there (well full minus the 20% uplay discount) , I'll pick up BL3 from cdkeys too instead of paying 50
Won't be answering the poll unless a third option will be added for i will be boycotting the launch as i disagree with supporting any company who facilitate the damaging behavior that epic is doing now on a regular occasion.
As small snip of an email i wrote to gearbox:
If people are happy to wait 6 months and buy it then all it proves is developers can get the same amount of sales spread over a longer period of time with no reason not too. If people who won't buy it on EPIC also don't buy it at all then game companies will soon cotton on to the fact that what they are doing is messed up and more importantly in their eyes they are losing money despite the better % offered for EPIC. I don't support EPIC, STEAM, Origin, UPLAY or any other launchers having a monopoly over the launch industry. However the way EPIC are trying to do it is outrageous and only damaging for us in the long run especially with so many fundamentally major negative elements that make up EPIC.
Thats odd then, because I got Metro Exodus from cdkeys for Epic already and have been playing that and many others in the BL3 thread have already picked it up for 32.99 from here
https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/borderlands-3-pc-cd-key
If they dont support 3rd party keys then maybe I just slipped through the net with my Metro Exodus.
Well, I can only go by experience, my Metro Exodus one worked fine and I've heard nothing from Cdkeys yet to make me think that my Borderlands 3 one wont work too (or indeed any of the other Epic store titles cdkeys sells)
Could be, seems theres a lot of fake news around , especially in connection to the epic store![]()
indeed.... and as i said i aint writing off BL3 at all, just waiting till my concerns are put to bed. (in this day and age there is zero reason to be an early adopter in non competitive games
the patient gamer gets a more fleshed out game, with fewer bugs and at a better price..... I never used to be, I was a pre-order / day 1 on all the games i really wanted to buy, but now that i have probably 500 games i have never even installed let alone played across all my platforms (PC, Xbox 360, wii and ps4 pro) i am happy to wait now for all my games.
I was just addressing someone who was saying they were surprised at the number of folk holding off on BL3. I have my reasons and that is even without me being loyal to steam store.
