BREAKING NEWS:

Prime Minister Theresa May is due to make a major announcement at Downing Street at 11.15am.

GENERAL ELECTION SET FOR 8TH JUNE 2017.

She wishes to strengthen her negotiating position by having less disruption at home, as she thinks she can strengthen her position in the country. Less SNP, less Labour, Lords told to STFU etc.

It'll 'just' be about direct rule in Norn Iron.
Aye hopefully it starts with the stopping of pay and removal of resources from next week.
Then let the little brokenshire, break another shire, by installing all the laws rules regulations and tax changes that norn iron has mysteriously magically been refusing to incorporate, as we have magic money from the cloud fairies we all believe in.
So the parties get away with 'direct rule' brining in all the things they don't have the political balls to do, even if it is necessary.

What kind of PM starts the 2-year Article 50 time bomb ticking then wastes 10% of the time window on an election? Such an opportunist move, putting party before country.
In what was does it waste anything, mainly the same civil servants and privately employed teams will be managing the same negotiations, which will be so slow, because thus far, no one has a clue where to start.
Europe haven't even started their side of things yet.

I genuinely fear Labour will get a lot more seats than they should because of this ridiculous rebellious voting that's happening, both with Brexit and Trump. Corbyn getting in power would be truly frightening, the blundering old buffoon

I see this happening, just for hilarity, leave us with a hung parliament.

SO an election thread turns into how much someone pays in London for a mortgage, and it isn't about the cost, its about pedantics.
Nice.

which taxrise for those on over 70K are we talking about btw?

It's all true though, wear red don't put out false information. If you research each claim they all check out.

Infact, i challenge you to disprove any of them.

What national assets are they planning to firesale?
'hint' the NHS isn't an asset currently, no matter what parts they might cherry pick to sell.

Answer the question, what are they planning to sell off?
Seriously, on your list are two banks they bailed out, they had to sell those.
Royal mail, which had already been sold off.

You think them selling off the 'national asset' of loss making RBS is a terrible thing?
At least we eventually just about scraped our money back out of Lloyds.

Your article doesn't defend your original poster, what going to be sold off? Tell me?

The land registry is one of them. If its not been sold off already. Can't really predict the future but all you have to do is look at the tory record over the last 6 years to see they have been doing it and will continue to do it. If you can't get your head around that then there's no hope.

You posted something that stated the Tory's would sell off more national assets than ever before.
You can't name them, as the one you named, you pondered if it had been sold off already.
That why I asked, I asked you to back up the twaddle you were posting with actual facts.
Thus far, you've dangled a half fact, and then semi-withdrawn it.

If you can't get your head around that then there's no hope.
If you can't get your head around people asking for facts to back up your statement.....

I am willing to accept your statements if you back them up. Give it a try.

How would you fund university fees? Someone has to pay for it and the numbers have to add up?
This is something I dislike, not the rise in fees but the mad method they used, which might well generate a 30 year write off black hole.
Then selling off loans, and the rates of interest on the current loans.
Its not the sort of plan they should have implemented to increase fees, the fee increases themselves if necessary should persists by this odd loan system should not.
