Apple actually has a retail presence for support, most issues can be resolved quickly or you can walk out with a new device very quickly.

OS support is the best in the industry, they are only just stopping support for the iPhone 5 which came out in 2012!

Backup and restore is seamless and easy.

When Android can compete with all of that then perhaps I’ll take it seriously.

Do you trot out all what you own at dinner parties. My iMac is in the loft as I've moved back to Windows, my Apple TV is not much better than a brick as it's got so little added functionality in the UK. I get far more use out of a chromecast. My phone (using Galaxy at present) is always handy so I can text and take calls on that, or failing that my home phone. I have no use for an Apple Watch and I find my Sony tablet plays very nicely with my Galaxy. Sold the iPad quite some time ago. That's why I am more than happy to use any OS i.e. it provides more choice and I'm not tied into any one eco system.

Brilliant summary. Agree with all this.

There's an additional aspect I love about iOS, which is that I can be 100% confident that apps aren't trying to steal my info, or make 0900 phone calls in the background, or infect my phone with viruses. The Android app store is the true dumpster fire of this discussion.
 
So it's okay to slate Apple but as soon as someone defends the brand it's called having beer goggles?

Whoopdy do, it's a £1000 phone, who really cares? If you do, don't buy one, buy a cheaper device, it's quite simple. Moaning about the price on the internet does nothing whatsoever.
 
Don't know why people engage with this person. Ignore him/her and hopefully he/she will go away.
 
Seems to be less discussion on the X in this thread and more 'hand bags at dawn'.

Shock horror, people like different tech and use tech in different ways.

Only since N111ck was given a talking to.. he used to love dropping by and trolling every android thread going!
On topic though I think the iPhone 10 seems like a good bit of kit and the hardware has finally cought up with android flagships which is why people are now attacking the price perhaps.
